AHARPIST invited to play at the wedding reception of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles said yesterday that she was "thrilled and honoured" to be given the role.

Jemima Phillips, 23, was asked to perform in her position as Royal Harpist at the Windsor Castle reception.

The musician said she was "over the moon" when she received the call from the Prince's office inviting her to play. She added : "I was in my f lat in London when I got the call on my mobile - it was a great thrill."

The Royal College of Music graduate, who has been playing since she was nine, said she had performed at hundreds of weddings, but admitted this one would be a bit special.

"At the moment I'm not nervous, I'm just excited about it.

It is a massive honour for me and a great opportunity, " she said. "Just to be part of something on this scale is going to be fantastic."

Jemima added: "Of course, on the day I expect I will start getting the jitters, but you have to have that adrenaline to play well and sparkle."

She has played at Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace, but said the reception, at which she will play to guests as they arrive, would be her "most prestigious" event yet.
