STEVE Robertson scored a 94th-minute winner to fire Wantage Town through to the Buildbase FA Vase second round.

It was a fitting finish to an enthralling game which saw Town beat visitors Cadbury Heath 4-3, earning a home tie against Melksham Town next month.

Mark Flanagan put them ahead with a 30-yard free-kick, which separated the sides at half-time.

But Heath hit back through Sacha Tong’s penalty and Andy Campbell.

Wantage were still trailing until the 83rd minute, when Jim Glover levelled.

Substitute Jack Powell appeared to have won the game, but Tong converted another spot-kick in the 90th minute.

There was still time for more drama, with Robertson finally settling the tie in the fourth minute of stoppage-time.

The goals also flowed freely in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West, as Letcombe came from 2-0 down to record a first victory against North Leigh United.

The visitors’ afternoon began poorly and they trailed after 15 minutes when Shemar Pettet failed to cut out a through ball, allowing Declan Shephard to place the ball past the advancing Charlie McCready.

Piers McGlynn doubled the lead before the break, but Letcombe responded with their best 45 minutes of the season.

Adam Bruce quickly pulled a goal back and midway through the half he flicked the ball on for Harry Monger to equalise.

Letcombe sensed an opportunity and seven minutes from time Conor Lynch lobbed a winner.
