POLICE are seeking a group of youths after a teenager was the victim of an attempted robbery in Dudley.

Officers have released a CCTV image in a bid to trace the youths who may have witnessed the incident or could have been involved.

The 15-year-old victim was waiting for his dad outside Dudley Zoo at around 7pm on Tuesday, February 19 when a group of seven young people approached him.

One of the group start to push him, before he managed to escape and run off as three of them chased him.

Luckily the lad was spotted by his dad who arrived to pick him up.

Detective Constable Louise Davis, from Dudley CID, said: “Although nothing was stolen from the lad, he was extremely shaken by his ordeal.

“We are keen to trace those involved, as it was undoubtedly not an isolated offence and we would like to prevent this from happening to anyone else."
