DREW Carter rightly condemns David Cameron’s promise to repeal the Hunting Act on behalf of his fellow blood sports enthusiasts (March 13).
However, this war on our wildlife also includes the continuation of the massacre of our badger population, on behalf of corrupt farmers who caused TB in their cattle, and are now seeking to scapegoat the wildlife.
The fact that this outrage is condemned by the vast majority of the British public as well as the overwhelming scientific consensus, is irrelevant to Cameron, and he has declared that the ‘cull’ (to use the politically correct euphemism) is now to be extended to the entire country.
Today’s letters
The badger cubs will soon be targeted, despite the fact that they are even less likely to have contracted TB than their parents, and this slaughter will commence in June – after the election of course.
