A cricket ball signed by England International Darren Gough, a lesson in ‘Haka’ and VIP tickets to Cornbury Music Festival will all go under the hammer in aid of children in Uganda.
Sibford School is holding a charity auction at the school on Friday, from 5pm. Proceeds will go to the Sibford Uganda Appeal.
In July, nine pupils will spend three weeks in Uganda supporting the charity Retrack, which works with African street children to help them find a real alternative to life on the street. They also plan to bring supplies to Sanyu Babies’ Home, in Kampala, and visit Mbarara Preparatory School, with which the school has an on-going link.
Teacher Emma Worlsey said: “We have more than 70 lots up for grabs and hope that people from the local area, as well as parents and friends of the school, will come along to support this very worthwhile cause.”
