A CHARITY fundraising group has collected its highest-ever amount.
The Banbury and District Friends of Cancer Research UK raised £37,000 in the last financial year.
The group's secretary Norma Ablewhite said: "It is the largest total since the local committee started 26 years ago."
The fund was boosted by a donation of £1,806 from Elaine Stanbra, who runs the Instep School of Dance.
The cash was the proceeds of a social event organised by Mrs Stanbra.
