DANNY the Dragon will join Radio Horton volunteers for the hospital station's annual Christmas fundraising collection this Saturday.
Mascot Danny will greet shoppers to Sainsbury's Oxford Road store and Radio Horton's mobile studio will provide a seasonal soundtrack.
Volunteers hope to raise awareness of the station's work and encourage passers-by to dig deep in their pockets.
Last year's collections raised over £700, helping to provide a radio service to the patients of the Horton Hospital. To date the station has donated over £22,000.
Station manager Stewart Green is hoping for a repeat of shoppers' generosity. "Radio Horton has a special role, providing a community radio service with entertainment exclusively for Banburyshire patients. Radio Horton is self-financing.
