NEW plans for leisure facilities are being drawn up by Cherwell District Council - but local people are being asked for their views before proposals are finalised.
The Cherwell Recreation Strategy is intended to be a joined-up approach to recreation across the district over the next five years.
But before the strategy is set in stone, the council is asking the public for its views.
Norman Bolster, the council's executive member for recreation, said: "Without a clear way forward we would be in danger of not achieving the aims of the public or of the council. By having an agreed strategy we can pull together and concentrate our resources on activities that we all agree are important."
The draft strategy and a questionnaire are available on the council's website at www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk.
Paper copies are also available at any of the council's offices or by phoning 01295 221802.
The consultation is open until December 15.
