OXFORD University are heading to Japan in the autumn.
The Dark Blues will take part in the second World University Rugby Invitational Tournament, hosted by Waseda from September 16-24.
Oxford have not visited Japan since 2006, when they travelled to the Far East for a two-week tour.
The first edition of the tournament - the World University Rugby Cup - was created and hosted by the Dark Blues in 2015.
Meanwhile, Oxford University’s ladies were beaten 20-17 by Swansea University in the British Universities and Colleges Sport Vase final in Nottingham.
Susannah Rees, Georgia Ling and Sophie Trott, who kicked one conversion, crossed.
Having trailed 20-0 after 50 minutes, the side hit back to set up a nervy finish, but they ran out of time.
