CHRIS Webb continued his sensational form as he clanged off 15 dolls for the second time this season to help The Chequers B beat Seacourt Bridge 2-1.
The visiting player scored 4-6-5 as his side won the first two legs 18-17, 18-13, before their opponents prevented the whitewash with a 22-14 victory.
Elsewhere in Oxford & District Section Two, Donnington A’s tough start continued with defeat at Six Bells A Kidlington.
Alan Surman led the way for the hosts with a baker’s dozen (6-4-3) as they won the first leg 18-13, lost the second on three sticks after a 16-16 tie and took victory in the final leg 17-9.
It means Donnington are still looking for their first win of 2022.
Meanwhile, Nigel King (4-6-3) and Mark Poulter (3-5-5) inspired Red Lion A Yarnton to a 2-1 home win over Vikings A.
The visitors won the middle leg on three sticks after a 22-22 draw, having suffered defeats of 19-13 and 23-18 either side.
Mick Holton threw well for Vikings with 13 dolls (5-6-2).
In Premier/Section One, Scott Thompson’s baker’s dozen inspired Gladiators A to a 3-0 home victory over Donnington C, with leg scores of 25-21, 30-24 and 23-22.
Garsington Sports stay winless after losing 2-1 to the George A, despite Trevor Greenaway’s season’s best 13 dolls (3-5-5).
The visitors prevailed after leg scores of 16-17, 19-22 and 19-18.
Premier leaders Black Prince dropped a point at home to the Blackbird B, as wins of 30-24 and 31-22 sandwiched an 18-25 defeat in the middle leg.
Johnny McMahon starred for the visitors with 3-6-3.
The Swan A began their clash with North Leigh FC by clanging off 33 dolls to the hosts’ 27, but their opponents hit back with 26-23 and 20-16 wins.
Mark Rollins was top dog for the football club with (6-3-4), while teammate Charlie Buckingham also bagged a six in his dozen dolls.
