New signing Josh Parker started the game after his arrival was announced before kick-off, but the first big chances fell to Chelmsford.

Harry Lodovica saw an early effort cleared off the line and then missed the target when put through one-on-one with Ben Dudzinski.

Parker looked lively and tried his luck several times before the break, while Cambridge United loanee Kai Yearn spurned a good chance in the 69th minute.

A stalemate was on the cards, only for Oluwo to scramble home a late winner.
