OXFORD Chargers dropped out of the National Development League play-off places with a 55-32 defeat at Mildenhall Fen Tigers.

The Suffolk side beat their rivals for the second time in a week to leapfrog them into fourth in the table.

Chargers captain Jordan Jenkins was sidelined with an abdominal issue, so Greg Blair guested in his place.

Mildenhall started with a 5-1 in heat one, before Jacob Clouting withdrew after a fall in the second race.

Chargers secured their first heat win in the fifth as Henry Atkins and Jody Scott claimed a 4-2, leaving the score 17-10.

The visitors continued to trail, though, and were 31-20 down going into heat ten.

Sam Hagon and Scott hauled Chargers back into contention with a 5-1, but the comeback was short-lived.

Mildenhall were awarded the 12th heat after two re-runs and they secured three more 5-1s to seal victory.
