EDDIE Pepperell continued his good form with another strong showing at the Cazoo Open.

The Abingdon golfer tied for 20th at Celtic Manor, in Wales, after ending the tournament one-over par, 13 shots behind runaway winner Callum Shinkwin.

It followed Pepperell’s second-place finish at the Hero Open, which came after he tied for 11th at the Cazoo Classic.

The Frilford Heath member began with his best round of the tournament as he shot a three-under par 68 on Thursday.

That included six birdies, although Pepperell was let down by a double-bogey six at the 14th.

Day two was much more mixed for the 31-year-old, who carded three birdies and four bogeys in his first eight holes after starting at the 11th.

Pepperell dropped two more shots at the fifth and sixth as he shot a three-over par 74, but he still made the cut.

The two-time Tour-winner’s third round was steadier going as he went round in 70.

Three birdies and two bogeys saw Pepperell go into the final day one-under, ten shots off the lead.

It meant he was fighting only for position and a top-ten finish looked within reach as he reached the 13th four-under for the tournament.

But Pepperell dropped six shots during his final six holes, including successive double bogeys at the 13th and 14th, to fall back to 20th.
