BANBURY United made it 17 games unbeaten with a 3-1 win at seventh-placed Royston Town.
The Puritans signed Oxford United goalkeeper Mackenzie Chapman on loan before the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central clash and the 18-year-old was on the bench.
Chris Wreh put Banbury 1-0 up, but the hosts quickly equalised to ensure the teams were all-square at the break.
Morgan Roberts and Jack Stevens scored in the space of 12 second-half minutes as Andy Whing’s side cemented third in the table.
It is now five wins in a row for the Puritans, who visit Corby Town in the Buildbase FA Trophy third qualifying round on Saturday.
