OXFORD City climbed to fourth in Vanarama National League South on a day of reunions at Havant & Waterlooville.
The hosts’ starting line-up included James Roberts and captain Joe Oastler, who both left Court Place Farm for Hampshire in the summer.
The latter scored against his former club ten minutes into the second half, but goals from Harvey Bradbury and Joe Iaciofano – a former Havant player – secured a 2-1 win for City.
The visitors went ahead after 18 minutes as Josh Ashby received the ball from new signing Harry Kyprianou and sent a cross into the six-yard box, where Bradbury applied the finishing touch.
Ashby claimed another assist five minutes later as he played in Iaciofano, who beat goalkeeper Ross Worner for his first goal of the season.
The home stopper came out on top in their next duel before the break, but Havant returned much better after the restart.
Oastler soon halved the deficit, the ex-City skipper firing into the top corner.
The hosts had a second goal disallowed for a foul by Manny Adebowale and Oldfield’s side held on.
