A LATE bogey proved fatal for Eddie Pepperell at the abrdn Scottish Open.
The Abingdon golfer was on course to make the cut of two-under par, but he dropped a shot at the 17th to fall away at The Renaissance Club, North Berwick.
It left Pepperell one-under for the tournament as he failed to reach the weekend for the third successive event.
The Frilford Heath member began his second round almost as well as his first.
His birdie at the first was not quite his opening-day eagle at the tenth, but it was a positive start nonetheless.
Pepperell then bogeyed the eighth, before another birdie at the ninth.
It looked like it would be enough, until his dropped shot at the 17th.
