ROB Hall was taken out of the warm-up by Oxford United tonight, but it is not thought to be serious.
The winger was due to start the pre-season friendly at Brackley Town, which the visitors won 2-1 thanks to first-half strikes from Fabio Lopes and James Henry, which outweighed an own goal from Nico Jones.
But after taking part in the drills before the game, Hall, who missed most of last season recovering from knee surgery, was replaced by Kyran Lofthouse when play began.
Head coach Karl Robinson stressed it was just down to the 25-year-old still feeling the after-effects from a challenge against Thame United 24 hours earlier.
He said: “After the tackle he got some nerve pain.
“The knee is fine, so there’s no worry with it.
“We know Hally’s not going to start the season, so it’s about him being fit enough for 30 minutes and his pre-season is tailored around him.
“It was purely precautionary.”
