OXFORD United will face Sunderland and Tranmere Rovers in Sky Bet League One after the play-offs completed next season’s line-up.
The Black Cats are staying in the third tier after losing their final 2-1 to Charlton Athletic, who struck a 94th-minute winner to claim promotion.
Tranmere Rovers left it even later to win League Two’s climax, bagging the only goal against Newport County in the final minute of extra time.
They come up alongside Lincoln City, Bury and Milton Keynes Dons.
Dropping down from the Championship are Bolton Wanderers, who are set to start with a 12-point deduction after going into administration.
They are joined by Ipswich Town, who the U’s have not faced since 1999, plus Rotherham United.
It all adds up to an increase in travelling distance for Oxford United next season, up 144 miles to 6,168.
