CHARLIE Raglan has become the first player released by Oxford United last week to secure a new deal.

The centre back has signed a two-year contract at Cheltenham Town.

He had spent the second half of this season on loan with the Sky Bet League Two side.

Raglan started 19 games for the Robins, just two fewer than he made in three seasons with the U's.

Boss Michael Duff told Cheltenham's website: "He did very well for us last year and fitted well into our system.

"He is a good age and a good character. We think there's a lot more to come from him and we're very happy that he's part of our squad permanently moving forward."
