OXFORD United invited three club legends to train with the first team squad this morning.
James Constable, Joey Beauchamp and Peter Rhoades-Brown donned the club’s blue training kit and rolled back the years at Horspath.
The trio joined in a light warm-up, as well as passing and shooting drills.
Constable, known as Beano, netted 106 goals for the U’s between 2008-2014 and is now patron of Oxford United in the Community – the club’s official charity.
Beauchamp made more than 400 appearances for the side during two spells, making his debut in 1989 and scoring on his final game in 2002.
Rhoades-Brown, now the club’s business development manager, helped the U's win promotion to the First Division and to Milk Cup glory in the 1980s.
United boss Karl Robinson said it was important that he made his current crop aware of some of the club’s history.
He said: “It’s something I’ve done before at other clubs.
“It’s important we associate ourselves with the club's history and never forget that.”
