JORDAN Graham cannot wait to finally get cracking in front of the Oxford United home fans.

The winger was introduced on the Kassam Stadium pitch on Boxing Day, but the three matches for which he has been eligible so far in his loan have come on the road.

Graham, who only played three home games in his first spell with the club in 2015, was outstanding in last week’s 2-2 draw at Fleetwood Town.

And the 23-year-old is eager to continue tomorrow against Sky Bet League One leaders Portsmouth.

“I can’t wait,” he said.

“It’s strange to come into a team where you have three away games in a row.

“But it’s been nice for me to find my feet and now I’m on a good run – hopefully I can take it into the Portsmouth game.”

He added: “It’s going to be a massive occasion, the crowd will be huge and we know what’s at stake. I know Kenny (Jackett, Portsmouth’s boss) from Wolves – he likes to play good stuff.

“Hopefully we can move the ball at a good tempo and start the game at a high intensity, like we did in the second half at Fleetwood.”

This week was the first in more than a month without a midweek fixture.

While Graham, who is looking to make up for lost time, wanted to keep playing, the Wolverhampton Wanderers wide man believes the extra sessions spent on the training ground will be valuable.

He said: “I wish there was a midweek game, because I’m enjoying it.

“But it’s good for us because it gives time to work on a few extra things on the training ground, set-piece wise.

“I’m always doing extras with Cameron (Brannagan) and hopefully through the second half of the season that can start to show.”
