KARL Robinson hopes meetings with Oxford United’s owner this week can help put them in a position to attack the January transfer window.

Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth arrives from Thailand this morning ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Southend United and is in the country until after Saturday’s meeting against Bristol Rovers.

With the transfer window opening next week, Robinson is eager to get cracking on plans to strengthen the squad and went to Belgium on Sunday to look at one target.

The U’s boss said: “It’s crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s in some ways – we just hope we can maybe get one or two deals over the line.

“We’ll have to make some sort of way within our team to make sure we can build.

“Hopefully over the next few days we can do something to make this football club better.”

They have already got one deal over the line.

Jordan Graham, who has been training with the squad since last month, was yesterday confirmed as a loan signing from January 2.

He is due to be unveiled to the crowd at the Kassam Stadium this afternoon.
