OXFORD United will face a third former player when they take on Newport County this season, after Harry Worley yesterday signed for the newly-promoted League Two club.
The defender, who was released by United at the end of last season after three years and 62 appearances at the club, will link up with Adam Chapman and Chris Zebroski, both of whom joined County earlier this month.
Newport manager Justin Edinburgh said of Worley: “Harry is a player we have had on our radar for sometime and I’m thrilled that everything is now complete.”
Chris Wilder’s Oxford side are at home to Newport on Tuesday, November 26 and make their first visit to Rodney Parade on Wednesday, January 1.
United's players are back for fitness tests today, before reporting for pre-season proper on Monday.
