Chris Earl’s rink starred as Oxford City & County ran out 81-65 winners over much-fancied Leighton Buzzard in the London and Southern Counties Shield.
Nigel Satchell’s four went down 22-8 at home where the side of Bryan Slatter triumphed 24-14.
But a 22-16 away win by skip Alan Ley and Earl’s 27-13 triumph saw City & County storm into the last eight.
