TWENTY Oxfordshire rowers have been selected for Great Britain’s junior teams.

Nine will compete at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan, from August 7-11.

Henley RC’s Seth O’Connor is in the men’s single sculls, coached by James Loveday from Leander Club.

Radley College BC’s Felix Rawlinson is part of the four, which will be overseen by Shiplake College BC’s Dave Currie.

Three local rowers feature in the quadruple sculls, with Edward Roy, Balthasar Issa (both Henley) and Miles Devereux (Leander) selected.

Abingdon School’s Connor Brown and Shiplake’s Dom Brown are in the eight.

Shiplake’s Olivia Morgan is in the women’s pair, with Henley’s Phoebe Snowden in the four.

A further 11 are in the squad for the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Corgeno, Italy, from August 2-4.

Leander’s Stephen Hughes will compete in the single sculls.

The four is dominated by Radley College, with Ned Rae Smith and Alex Senior selected, while Harry Lyons is the coach.

Shiplake’s Seb Hjortland-Marks is also in the boat.

The coxed four includes Shiplake’s Ben Brockway, with Abingdon School’s Rory Copus named as coach.

Joe Long (Henley) and Jo Willis (Leander) are in the quadruple sculls.

Freddie Nelson, Peter Denton (both Radley) and Rhys Ash (Shiplake) are in the eight.

Henley’s Emma Berry and coach Leon Redmond are involved in the women’s four and eight crews.
