TUMBLER Ben Goodall took gold at the first British Championships qualifying event in Telford.
The 20-year-old, from Harwell, competing for the first time since injury finished his 2018 season, won with a score of 68.5 – well over the World Championship qualifying mark.
Although needing to reduce the difficulty of his routine, Goodall was second after the first round.
And after landing perfectly after a superb triple-twisting, double-somersault, he moved to the top of the standings where he stayed, securing a place in the British finals.
