CRICKET: Oxfordshire will take on Buckinghamshire in their final pre-season friendly at Aston Rowant on Sunday.

They have named a 12-man squad for what is their first 50-over match of the season.

Oxfordshire: J Cater (capt, Buckingham Town), S Alam (Twyford), G Andrew (Ombersley), L Bethell (Aston Rowant), J Butcher (Abingdon Vale), T Condon (Aston Rowant), H Eltham (Oxford), R Kaufman (Old Northamptonians), G Sandbach (Oxford Downs), H Smith (Leamington), J Thomas (Banbury), R White (Buckingham Town).

BADMINTON: A youthful Oxfordshire Under 18 side finished 23rd of 32 teams in the Inter-Counties final at Nottingham.

The team, all of whom can play in the event next year, won four of their nine matches.

Their side was Oliver Butler, Charlie Driver, Matt Dunn, Harry Jones, Ethan Lau, Maddy Cook, Catherine Cousins, Holly Craig, Hannah Jones and Rebecca Norkett.

Meanwhile, five Oxfordshire players picked up nine medals at an Under 13 Bronze event in Swindon with Ryan Tao (singles gold), Freddie Driver (doubles gold, singles bronze), Ethan Soanes (doubles gold, mixed bronze), Ben Gwilym (doubles silver, singles bronze and mixed bronze) and Jamie Wakefield (doubles silver) on song.

TENNIS: Jasmine Conway has enjoyed a stellar couple of weeks in the Caribbean.

The Oxfordshire teenager won the singles title at the J4 Barbados tournament in St Michael, beating Carrington Hayes 6-0, 6-7, 6-2.

Conway also reached the final of the doubles at the ITF World Junior Tour event.

It came off the back of a strong week at the J4 Tacarigua in Trinidad & Tobago.

The 14-year-old, ranked 330 in the world, was a finalist in the doubles having also reached the last four of the singles.
