SNOOKER: Abingdon Conservative Club A lifted the Simonds Cup at Oracle Snooker Club.
The side beat Littlemore RBL C 4-1 in the final of the Oxford & District League competition, thanks to two wins from Karl Walker, whose success over Peter Franklin Routh included a break of 64.
Mick Bennett and Ross Barker also triumphed for Abingdon, while Lewis Moss was victorious for Littlemore.
Oracle also hosted the Sherlock Cup final, with J’s Sports Bar B beating Oracle E 4-1.
Antony Bosley’s win was in vain as Andrew Gee (2), Mark Cooper and Perry Dodson triumphed.
BILLIARDS: Headington Conservative Club won the Hashman Shield when beating Oxford Bowls 4-1 at Littlemore Royal British Legion.
Connor Jones (2), Stuart Giles and John Williams helped the victors land the Oxford & District League handicap competition.
Simon Painter beat Giles for Oxford’s only point.
