ETHAN Rose won two medals at the National Under 17 Championships in Milton Keynes.

The Oxfordshire player, who earlier this year won the under 19 singles title, opted to only play doubles at the National Badminton Centre.

He won silver in the mixed with Cornwall’s Cara Collins, losing 21-17, 21-14 to the top seeds.

Rose then won bronze in the boys’ doubles, partnering Benjamin Kemp from Avon.

The duo faced the No 1 seeds in the semi-final, losing a thrilling match 25-23, 22-20.

Eleanor Butler also took home a medal, landing bronze in the girls doubles with Collins.

They faced the top pairing in the last four as well, losing 21-15, 21-13.

Clement Jin won his third title of the year at the Worcester Under 13 Bronze tournament.

The Oxon ace comfortably beat Middlesex’s Joel Joby 21-10 in the final.

Meanwhile, the county’s under 16 team earned a place in the Shires League play-offs, where they will face Lancashire.
