A 4-2 win at Division 1 leaders Vikings took them to the brink of the crown.
Wins from Mark Trafford (7,530, break 7,480) and Ian Gordon put Oracle 2-0 in front.
Vikings hit back to level at 2-2 with victories from Mike Jones (11,030, break, 7880) and Allan Lacey (5520).
But wins in both pairs matches saw Oracle wrap up victory.
Donnington won 5-1 at home to Masons thanks to wins from Dave Tooke (10,790), Ian Moquet (7,000) and Jenny Florey, who brilliantly scored 9,000.
Gladiators returned to top spot in Division 2 after a 5-1 away victory at Oracle B.
Bert Lovegrove, Adam Thorn and Bob Pincombe won their singles, with Melvyn Johnson saving the whitewash.
Previous leaders Headington Con Club drew 3-3 at Berinsfield.
Larry Richens and John Boal won singles for the hosts while Dave Gordon and Tim Jeffreys replied.
The pairs were then shared.
