WEST Oxford Democrats Club twice came from behind to snatch a 3-3 draw against Masons Arms in the Oxford & District League, writes PETE EWINS.
The Division 1 side trailed 2-0 to their Premier Division rivals after Alan Lowe (5,010) and Dave Rose (6,780) won the opening matches.
However, Billy Hill (10,420, break 8,280) and John Patey (8,940) hit back to make it 2-2.
Although Masons won the opening pairs clash to move back in front, Hill and Patey combined to force the draw.
Runaway leaders Vikings extended their advantage to 11 points after winning 4-2 at home to Donnington.
After losing the first game, the table-toppers recovered to take the next three singles, before the pairs were shared.
Ian Moss (6,480) and Mike Jones (5,120) were their top-scorers.
Berinsfield drew 3-3 at home to Oracle A with Adam Ingram (6,200) and John Boal (4,950) shining for the home side.
Mark Trafford (16,790, breaks 11,190 & 5,600) was on top form for Oracle.
Oracle B drew 3-3 at home to new Division 2 leaders Headington Conservative Club with Lewis Stratford (7,110) top-scoring.
