KARL Bushell landed the Oxford & District League’s Hewitt Cup for a 13th time.
The Forum A player beat Ian Mead in four sets to win the Division 1 championship’s individual crown at Kidlington Forum.
Bushell overcame Fraser Harris 3-0 in their last-four tie, while Mead defeated Peter Harris.
The final proved to be a classic encounter, with Bushell triumphing 11-6, 11-6, 8-11, 11-6.
Meanwhile, British Rail landed their third straight Division 1 title when brushing aside Vikings A in the Oxford & District League.
Darren Jones, Greg Donovan and Mead were untroubled in a 10-0 victory as they ended their campaign in fine style.
Elson Costa’s maximum helped Forum A beat their B team 7-3 to remain in the hunt for second place.
Division 2 leaders Forum F also won their final game, claiming a 7-3 victory
against their G side, Edward Lush leading the way with a treble.
Bicester B are fast moving up the table as they catch up on matches, beating Forum G 8-2 before losing 6-4 to Gladiators A.
Muriel Hooker’s maximum helped Bicester E remain top of Division 3 as they beat Holton D 6-4.
