Dave Rose (3,530) put the hosts in front, before Roger Tomlin (3,770) levelled.

Chris Bateman (7,100) and Mick Murphy made it 3-1 to Masons, who also won both pairs.

Meanwhile, Vikings’ Mick Jones progressed from the Oxford & District League’s Division 1 singles competition with a 5,980-5,070 aggregate victory over Berinsfield’s Adam Ingram.

Joan Boal, of Berinsfield, beat Oracle A’s Pauline Withey 9,490-3,570 to reach the last four of the Off The Spot singles.

Vikings are through to the semi-finals of the Threes competition after winning 5-1 against Oracle B, Allan Lacey top-scoring with 7,520.
