FORUM A took advantage of British Rail’s inactivity to go top of Division 1 of the Oxford & District League.

Without captain Karl Bushell, it fell to Elson Costa to win all three matches and lead Forum A to a 7-3 win over Forum C.

Kiarash Shaddel excelled for the C side, beating Greg Boone and Fraser Harris.

Third-placed Bicester A beat Forum D 6-4, despite having to field a substitute player from Division 2.

Although Jamie Felton failed to record a victory he performed well, Bicester ultimately grateful to maximums from Dave Ralls and Darren Palmer.

In Division 2, Forum F beat Forum E 8-2 to stay top, John Talbot starred to ensure all four points went to the leaders.

Vikings B hold on to second despite being held to a draw by Begbroke, for whom Paul Humphrey starred.

His maximum was crucial and hard-fought, being taken the full distance by Serogo Tabuni and Dom Juiwong before coming out on top.

Division 3 leaders Bicester E beat Holton C 7-3 thanks to trebles for Martin Taylor and Muriel Hooker.

Tom Brennan starred as Bicester D beat Vikings C 6-4.

Basement side Holton D won their first match of the season, beating Bicester C 6-4, despite a Vic Davies maximum for the losers.
