CONNOR Bryan made a big impression when competing for the Wales elite development team at the Luxembourg Euro gala.
The City of Oxford star, 18, pitted his wits against Olympians and world champions in the open age group.
Bryan surpassed all expectations as he started the first day of the event with a personal best of 29.20secs when finishing ninth in the 50m breaststroke.
He then missed out on the final of the 200m event by just one place, clocking 2mins 23.25secs.
The teenager continued to improve on the second day, finishing third in the B final of the 100m breaststroke in a pb of 1.03.36.
