SNOOKER: Littlemore Royal British Legion C held on for a narrow victory in the Oxford & District League’s Simonds Cup.
The hosts edged to a 4-3 win over Thame A in their quarter-final clash, securing their passage into
the last four courtesy of an overall aggregate success.
Thame went into the last frame needing to win by 71 and Martin Cone fired a quick break of 64.
However, a tense finale full of good safety and stressful misses was settled on the pink, with Cone’s 77-24 win over Malcolm Bough not quite enough.

Sherlock Cup: Oxford Bowls 0, House Club 4; Thame C 2, Oracle E 4; J’s Sports Bar D 4, Eynsham B 2; J’ s Sports Bar B 4, New Club B 2.
BILLIARDS: Littlemore RBL stretched their lead at the top of the Oxford & District League Division 1 table after a 3-0 whitewash of nearest rivals Thame.
Successes from Lewis Moss, Malcolm Bough and Peter Franklin Routh moved Littlemore eight points clear at the head of affairs.
