OXFORDSHIRE Under 16s moved into the Shires League play-off places after convincingly beating Northamptonshire 17-3 at St Helen & St Katharine School, Abingdon.
The win boosted the side’s hopes of earning a place in the end-of-season finals.
Oxon’s team was made up of Albie Marriott, Ben Horseman’s, Harry Jones, Mohammad Aktar, Matthew Dunn, Holly Craig, Rebecca Norkett, Catherine Cousins and Eleanor Hoch.
Meanwhile, Adam Burden won two gold medals at the West Midlands Under 15 silver tournament in Birmingham.
The Oxfordshire player triumphed in the boys’ and mixed doubles.
Jason Ou also picked up two medals at the tournament, winning bronze in the singles and silver in the boys’ doubles.
