JULIAN Humm had a catch to remember on a family holiday to Mauritius.
The chairman of the North Oxford Angling Society landed a huge dogtooth tuna, which weighed in at more than 100lbs.
It took Humm more than 30 minutes to land the fish, but was worth the weight!
Back home, North Oxford hosted a
three-way match at their Marston Ferry Road and Wolfson College stretches of the Cherwell with Masons AS and Kidlington AS.
Dave Pether (Masons) beat a field of 18 with 8lbs 8oz 0drms of bread caught bream.
He beat teammate Martin Robinson who had 5.2.0 of perch on chopped worm, while the host club’s Steve Tompkins was third with 5.1.0.
North Oxford, meanwhile, have reduced membership prices to £10 for adults and £5 for juniors and seniors citizens until the end of May.
