WILL Fletcher’s fledgling career has been boosted by becoming the recipient of the Ella Popely Mentorship Award for 2019.
The 19-year-old, from Faringdon, was presented with the accolade at the London Horse Show at Olympia.
The award offers unique mentorship to an up and coming rider aged between 18-25.
It is in memory of Ella Popely, who died in a car accident in 2016.
Fletcher will be mentored by World Equestrian Games team gold medallist Laura Kraut, who also triumphed at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
The teenager has enjoyed a stellar 12 months, winning team gold at his first Young Rider European Championships, before making his debut on a senior Nations Cup team in Rabat.
