ORACLE A moved top of the Oxford & District League Premier Division with a 5-1 home win over Division 1 leaders Vikings, writes PETE EWINS.
Pauline Withey (4,590), Mark Trafford (11,350), Brian Rose (3,560) and Ian Gordon (10,650) sealed victory with singles successes.
Withey and Trafford then took first pairs before Allan Lacey and Ian Moss saved a whitewash.
Previous leaders Donnington Club lost 4-2 at Masons.
Alan Lowe (7,170) and Martyn Wood (4,540) starred for the home side, while Mellissa Standbridge was top-scorer for the visitors.
Oracle B were 3-0 up at Division 2 leaders Gladiators with wins from Melvyn Johnson, Vinnie Brown and Sean Stratford.
But the hosts hit back to seal a 3-3 draw with Bob Pincombe winning his singles, before Gladiators took both pairs.
It was the same story at Headington Conservative Club, with the hosts 3-0 ahead, only for Berinsfield to hit back and snatch a 3-3 draw.
