NICK Skelton won two junior golds at the England Winter Championships in Sheffield.

The 15-year-old’s success added to a profitable three days at the event for City of Oxford swimmers as the club claimed eight medals.

Subject to ratification, county and south east regional records were also broken at Ponds Forge.

Skelton, won the 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley (IM).

He also took bronze in the 50m backstroke.

Skelton set Oxon and North Bucks junior records in all three events, as well as a South East regional mark in the 200m IM.

David Murphy was among the medals, clinching silver in the open 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke.

The 20-year-old also broke the county and regional records for both events.

Mimi Morley Iszatt, 15, won junior bronze in the 50m backstroke, setting a new county mark.

Illizane Pinfold, 14, is a county junior and senior record holder after clinching silver in the junior 50m breaststroke.

She also sent the times tumbling in the 100m event.

Toby Mackay-Champion, 21, took bronze in the open 200m breaststroke in a county record time.

Safiya Sillah, 15, also starred, setting a county junior and senior record in the 50m freestyle.
