PAUL Armstrong, of Masons AC, spent Christmas on a fishing holiday in Thailand, and caught this monster 200 kilo Mekong catfish at Palm Tree Lagoon.
Armstrong (middle) is being helped by several locals to lift the big fish out of the water.
IT took one fish for Colin Simpson to win Littlemore’ AC’s RC Smith Cup.
Due to the high river, the match was switched to the canal at Three Pigeons Lock, where bites were at a premium for the 19 contestants.
Simpson claimed the silverware and his first match win with the club, with a solitary big perch on pole with maggot for 2lb 2oz 0drms.
Paul Spencer was second with two skimmers and roach for 1.4.0. Jack Griffiths was third with 0.13.0.
