NEAL Russell was in stunning form as Kidlington Green Social Club trounced the visiting Democrats Club 7-2 in the Cowley Workers Club ODDA Winter League.

Russell, the reigning league singles champion, hit two 180s and a brilliant 160 finish for the Premier Section hosts against their Section 1 opponents.

Joe Palmer’s opening win for Kidlington was answered by Demos’ Rob Adnams, before Russell and Sean Holly put the home side 3-1 ahead.

Ashley Presley pulled one back for the visitors, before a 3-0 pair success maintained the reigning champions’ unbeaten record.

In Section 2, George Bar B kept up their good form with an 8-1 win away to Black Bull, despite losing the opening leg to Tony Wheeler.

Singles wins from Andrew Ray, Andy Buckingham and Nick Baldwin helped George to victory.

Cricketers Arms came from 2-0 down to defeat visiting Littlemore RFC B in Section 3.

Cliff Whistler and Sam Thompson put Littlemore ahead, but the Cricketers stormed back thanks to wins from Chris Myers, Doug Mingham, John Goodenough and Martin Andrews.

In the Ladies League, Section 1 side Blackbird Leys Bowls Club stormed to a 7-2 success away to their Premier Section rivals Witney Snooker Club.

The visitors swept into a 4-0 lead, thanks to Kim Mercer-Rolls, Emily Baldwin (180) Lorraine Singleton (180) and Debbie Stevens.

Witney pulled one game back through Greta Britnell, but the the Bowls Club eased home thanks to Charlie Dodson’s win and a 2-1 pairs success.
