MICHAEL Appleton’s three-year reign at Oxford United came to an end as he left to become Leicester City’s assistant manager.
The 41-year-old led the U's to promotion from Sky League Two in 2016, two Wembley cup finals and a string of giant-killings over higher-level opposition.
But Appleton decided to end his time at Oxford to join Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare, with whom he had worked with at West Bromwich Albion.
