SUMMERTOWN Spartans picked up their first Under 15 C League point of the season with a battling 3-3 draw at league leaders St Edmunds, writes PAUL LYON.

Two goals from Ed Merson gave the visitors an impressive lead, but the unbeaten hosts hit back with strikes from Callum Young (2) and Joel Akrill to seize the initiative.

However, Spartans refused to settle for defeat and earned themselves a point as William Treadwell converted a late penalty to level once more.

A brace from Zak Farrow and further goals from Finlay Heritage and Harvey Savin gave North Leigh a 4-2 win at Crowmarsh Youth in the A League.
