KENNY Redmond is hoping to begin the festive celebrations early when Oxford City Stars host Basingstoke Buffalo at Oxpens today (5.15).
The side are looking to finish 2018 with back-to-back victories in English National League South Division 2.
Stars have not played at home since November 4 and are hoping to be roared on by a bumper crowd.
Redmond’s side, who sit fourth in the table, will hope to build on their 3-2 victory over Buffalo a fortnight ago to enter the Christmas break on a high.
The head coach said: “We’re all looking
forward to getting back on home ice after a few road trips and gaps in the fixtures.
“We’ve not been in top form recently.
“But we’re in the mix at the top end of the table and now focused on putting in a good performance in front of our home fans and signing off for Christmas on a high.
“The fans have been brilliant and have really travelled in good numbers and made themselves heard on the road.
“So we’re looking to repay them.”
