OXFORD City Stars have added one of the NIHL’s leading lights – Matt Lawday – to its roster for their forthcoming campaign.
The 26-year-old, who joins from Solent Devils, is known as a sniper, with more than 150 goals his name, 19 of them last season.
He previously played for Swindon, Basingstoke, Wight-link, Slough and Bracknell.
“I am looking forward to playing for a professional organisation like Oxford City Stars,” he said.
“The fans are great which always helps boost the momentum of the game.
“I could see the determination last year and that’s a team I want to be a part of.
“The team has a lot of talent and potential – I can’t wait to contribute to that.”
Stars’ head coach Kenny Redmond said: “Having coached Matt at Conference level, he knows and likes the systems we will play.
“I’ve no doubt his scoring streak will make him popular with the fans.”
