BANBURY fear Pete Boulton may miss the entire 2019/20 season with the knee injury he suffered while playing for Oxfordshire earlier this month.
A scan has revealed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and grade 2 tear to his medial collateral ligament.
The tight-head prop suffered the injury during Oxon's win over Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire & Derbyshire in the Bill Beaumont County Championship on May 4.
Banbury head coach Matt Goode said: "I think he will miss most of the season next year which is a hell of a miss.
"We'll see how his rehab goes, but it doesn't look good."
