OXFORD Harlequins conceded five tries as they went down 42-17 at Windsor in South West 1 East.
The hosts raced into a 19-0 lead, with Steve Everton, Steve George and Chris Laidler all crossing. Laidler converted two of the tries.
Quins replied with No 8 Robin Craig scoring under the posts and Sam Watkinson converting.
Laidler and Watkinson then exchanged penalties as Windsor led 22-10.
Scrum half Ron Davies went over for a converted try to make it 29-10.
In the second half, a Laidler penalty stretched Windsor’s lead, before Pete Boulton dived over for Quins, Watkinson converting.
Windsor’s Pete Perch added a converted try and Laidler slotted a late penalty.
Grove suffered a 23-18 defeat at Trowbridge, after conceding a late score.
After the hosts landed two early penalties, Grove dominated the first half, taking a 15-6 interval lead thanks to tries from winger Guy Nicholl and scrum half Joe Chilvers. Fly half Mike Martin converted both and added a penalty.
After the break, Trowbridge’s Gareth Davis and Martin swapped penalties.
Grove conceded tries to flanker Matt Howard and hooker Dave Martin, with Davis converting both.
Henry Lamb suffered a broken nose as Witney went down 14-8 at Maidenhead.
Lamb kicked a penalty, while Arron Lambourne scored a try as they led 8-0 at half-time. But after the break Maidenhead stormed home.
