EDDIE Pepperell double-bogeyed his final hole to miss the cut by two shots at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
The Abingdon golfer carded a second successive level-par 72.
Pepperell, who started at the tenth, birdied his third, ninth and 11th holes to move to three-under-par for the tournament.
However, he was only a shot above the projected cut and bogeys at the fourth and seventh holes curtailed his progress, despite a birdie at the fifth.
Heading into his final two holes, the 26-year-old was on the cusp of the cut on two-under.
But he slipped up at the par-four ninth as he failed to reach the third round of a tournament for the first time since October.
